Learning to fly

(Víctor Lemes) The one thing I would really want to do For you, is to fill in the emptiness You have inside with something else Rather than cigarettes. My supermarket bags are not as heavy As the feelings you've held within you, All that burden you carry over your shoulders. I would like you to wipe away your shame Of your smile, your hair, your eyebrows. You see, I would care for you Not only of you, like the others intend to do. Oh, the irony of my life; I shall teach you a way, So you can reach the only place you like: The sky. That is my gladly sacrifice, For your dream matters to me More than mine.

Lifetime

(Víctor Lemes) For a lifetime We shall share The same beds And the very same towels. When we open our eyes, For the time has arrived, We shall see what has always Been before and within ourselves. The longer will be our days, Perhaps there we shan't be two no more; Yet, I'll be around you. For fear of losing you On the tides of the endless ocean I'll be waiting for you by the shore... Will you let me be A promise so you can keep me?

Fly On Safely

(Víctor Lemes) With my fingers folded Like preparing a fist, I touch your warmed Cheeks and I can feel 'em melt. Leave your hair as it Always is; leave it there Let it grow longer, or Cut it shorter--I wouldn't mind. Each time you flew away My soul would fly along. Each time I would open the gates Of my heart so you could land safely. There is no reason to be the same As others; although that is your dream To be, I shall not stand in your way, For the first time I'll pray. I would rather not knowing Whenever you return. You see, I'm not in love, Yet I enjoy seeing you smile.

Untitled

(Víctor Lemes) Thunder claps in the end of a scene Clouds float away in the blue sky Birds fly away the nervous wind And I am drowning in the deep blue sea. The wound starts bleeding For I shall remain dreaming.

To the spheres

(Víctor Lemes)  Many things have I learned Throughout these few months, Some of them were ‘ridiculous’, Others were like ‘Future Perfect Continuous’: Challenging, but not difficult. I have also learned that ‘To be’ has never been a verb! And that is good to be ambitious; In fact, it is delicious! I have learned that ‘Already’ is placed where ‘not’ Would be. And what comes Before the expression ‘other way’ Is a ‘the’. I learned we are all Noiseless patient spiders, Tirelessly speeding and unreeling Our filaments, filaments, and filaments. And I shall thank each of you In this room for the experiences We have shared, The good memories we shall Never forget. I do not wish nor hope, I neither expect nor wait; I just look forward to Meeting each of you one day.

The four Ws

(Víctor Lemes) Who am I to judge? Who am I to scream? Whose arms do I belong? Whose future will I deem?

Interestingly

(Víctor Lemes) Perhaps it may be the air. What else could they throw within it that'd make us feel dizzy, lost in a maze... trapped. Are we all trapped together? 'Cause, babe, it feels like we've been apart for ages. Still on perhaps, that might be why people are all so amazed. Would the word 'amazed' mean the things I wonder it means?

The Will

(Víctor Lemes) My heart is looking for Someone new That makes me laugh, That makes me feel Like I've never been before. These sincere thoughts Make me realize What I never got right, That thing that comes from inside, Filling me in, wearing me out. I wish I could find her Somewhere near, May the wind blow faster To make us meet each other soon. Thus, I can fight for something true.
